Masquerade in Ghent 
Show off your Halloween costume at the Ghent Business Association’s annual Masquerade in Ghent Halloween Block Party and Costume Contest on Friday, October 26, from 6:00 – 9:00pm. Registration will start at 5:00pm. This year’s event will once again take place in the parking lot behind Dog’n’Burger, on the corner of 20th and Manteo Streets.
There will be live music from returning favorites, House On Fire; games for kids and grownups alike; refreshments and Oktoberfest beverages featuring locally crafted beer from Ghent’s own O’Connor Brewing Company.

Judges will award cash prizes and gifts in categories including Best In Show, Best Pet Costume, Best Family or Group Collaboration, Best Infant (under 3 years old), Best Children’s Costume (male and female 4-12 years old), Best Young Adult Costume (male and female 13 – 18 years old), Best Adult Costume and Best In Show! So, fly your broomsticks in as judging will being at 6:30pm!
