Ghent Holiday Tree Lighting & Caroling

Friday, December 1, 2017, 6:30pm

Ghent’s Holiday Open House Weekend starts with the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, December 1, 2017 at 6:30pm in front of Blair Middle School on Colley Avenue.  Join your friends from the Ghent Business Association for a family friendly event to help spread the holiday spirit throughout Ghent.  Enjoy music and caroling from area school groups. Warm up with hot chocolate and cookies.  And, there will be a special appearance by Santa Claus as he helps light the tree. ViewItDoIt will be live-streaming the event too.  Don’t miss the fun!

To kick off the season of giving, bring a new, unwrapped toy to benefit the girls and boys of ForKids.  Or, take a tag off of the tree that night and return your gift to the ForKids Holiday Shop located at Good Mojo, 2411 Granby Street.  Donations can be dropped off Monday-Saturday, 10am-6pm and Sunday, 12-5pm, November 27 – December 11.

Come early or stay late and make a reservation to dine with friends or family at one of Ghent’s delectable restaurants afterwards for a complete evening of festive fun.
