GBA COMMITTEES
Get involved in the community by joining a GBA Committee!
Committees are a wonderful way to truly integrate yourself into the GBA, and they’re fun, too!

Development Committee

Helps businesses in the community moving to Ghent with their city zoning and established businesses with any rezoning or procedures for expansion or conditional use permits

Finance Committee

Works with the Treasurer to set the organization’s budget and ensure financial stability

Membership Committee

Reaches out to new businesses in the community and engages with current members, gives new members their welcome packets

Marketing Committee

Works with various media outlets (TV, radio, print) to offer GBA members discounted marketing and advertising opportunities and plans the Masquerade & Holidays in Ghent events

Streetscapes Committee

Works with the City of Norfolk and other local civic organizations to keep Ghent beautiful (things they do include the Pace Bikeshare program—not running with COVID, banners, neighborhood cleanup event with the Ghent Neighborhood League)
