The Annual GBA Member Celebration is a time to recognize business leadership in the Ghent community and
celebrate the continued success of our members.
Our Annual Celebration not only brings together Ghent Business Association members, but also the City of Norfolk’s leadership. In past years Norfolk Mayors, City Council Members, and Police Officers have attended in celebration of the GBA membership.
The 2025 GBA Annual Member Celebration will be held in February, 2025. The Ghent community is invited to join the Ghent Business Association in recognizing business leadership in the Ghent community and celebrating the continued success of our members at this event.
This year’s Lifetime Achievement Award honoree is Claus Ihlemann of The Palace Shops & Station and Decorum Furniture. The award honors an individual who tirelessly and generously supports the Ghent Community and beyond.
The Tom Winfree Award is given to an individual that embodies the spirit of giving to the Ghent Business Community. The 2023/24 Award Winner was Ted Enright of Nusbaum Insurance.
The Rowena Award is given to an individual that embodies the spirit of giving to the Ghent Business Community. The 2023/24 Recipient was Ann Hupp of Mettle Events.
The GBA Volunteer of the Year Award is given in recognition of outstanding dedication and commitment to volunteer service with the Ghent Business Association. The 2023/24 Recipient was Jane Cannone.
